Sometimes, some people know too much for their own good. Exposed to the harsh reality of what they now know, they are now vulnerable to depression and overthinking.
If David had known that to be king, he’d have to fight a giant, have his wife taken from him, be chased like an outlaw by the incumbent king and even starve some days, do you think he would have accepted to be anointed? Maybe. If he was not like 90 percent of us, why not.
Sometimes, some information is hidden from us by God and for reasons best known to us, we go ahead and try to find out, hurting ourselves in the process (Proverbs 25 vs 2). Like, why do you want to know if I’m single (winks and licks lips).

This is an extreme example obviously but do you know how many men have been totally shattered on finding out that their grown-up kids were never their children. I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt to not know.
Sometimes, it’s best to let the sleeping dog lie. Especially if it’s a rottweiler or a bulldog. And if it’s an “nkita”, in God’s name please let it sleep to its fill.
Ignorance is bliss. Knowledge is power but like all power, it is dangerous if not used well or taken prematurely. All power belongs to Jesus, that’s why He’s omniscient (drops mic).
